SCOEHS Scholarships

This listing identifies scholarships and fellowships specifically designated for students admitted to the Silverfield College of Education and Human Services. Students may apply for scholarships, fellowships, financial aid and loans from a variety of sources. The ability to offer all scholarships and fellowships is contingent on available funding. The number of awards available and award amounts are estimated and subject to change.

Dorothy G. Johnson Family & Friends Endowed Scholarship	Florida Teacher Certification, preference to ��AV��Ƶ student athletes
Dr. Cassandra Etgeton Endowed Math Education Scholarship	Math Education Majors
Gary & Laine Silverfield Endowed Scholarship	Florida Teacher Certification
Irene Helen McGinley Memorial Scholarship for Urban Education	Florida Teacher Certification, preference to students wishing to teach in urban schools
JT Townsend Scholarship	Sport Management, preference given to students with demonstrated record of giving back to their community.
Kristin McCall Memorial Scholarship	Elementary Education Major
Laine S. Silverfield Special Education Endowed Scholarship Fund	Special Education Majors
Luca Dee Soileau Endowed Scholarship	Elementary Education Majors
Ouida Trammell Stephenson Endowed Scholarship	Florida Teacher Certification, preference given to those in Exceptional Student Education.
Pratt-Dannals Family Endowed Scholarship	Secondary Math/Science Education Majors or Elementary Education Majors with an interest in teaching Math or Science.
SCOEHS Dean's Education Advisory Council Endowed Scholarship	Florida Teacher Certification
SCOEHS Math Education Scholarship	Math Education Majors
Silverfield College of Education and Human Services Endowed Scholarship	All majors, preference to students who are working in their field of study or are active members of a community or SCOEHS student organization (e.g., Big Brothers and Sisters, Student Council for Exceptional Children, etc.)
Synovus Bank Board of Directors Scholarship for Sport Management	Sport Management Majors
Synovus Bank Community Leadership Council Endowed Scholarship	All Majors
The Main Street America Group Endowed Urban Education Scholarship	Florida Teacher Certification, preference to students wishing to teach in urban schools
Victor and Lynne Raiser Exceptional Student Endowed Scholarship	Education Majors, preference will be given to those who desire to obtain an Exceptional Student Education major.

Ashley Barnes Memorial Fellowship for School Counseling	School Counseling Majors
D. Chanslor Howell Endowed Fellowship for Special Education	Education Majors, preference to Special Education
Dr. Diane Yendol-Hoppey Fellowship	Education Majors, preference given to students pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Instruction
Dr. Terri E. Stahlman Scholarship/Fellowship	Master of Education in School Leadership, Advanced Teaching and Learning, Educational Technology and School Counseling, Master of Science in Higher Education Administration, or the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program, preference given to a full-time teacher at Chet's Creek Elementary, Fort Caroline Elementary, or Ruth Upson Elementary.
Florida School Book Depository Endowed Graduate Fellowship	Doctor or Master of Education, portion must be awarded to Doctoral students each year
Gladys Roddenberry Endowed Fellowship Fund (Outstanding Roddenberry Fellow)	School professionals, must be one of the five recipients selected for the Gladys Roddenberry Graduate Fellowships for Teaching Excellence and employed as a full-time classroom teacher for at least 3 and no more than 10 years.
Gladys Roddenberry Graduate Fellowships for Teaching Excellence	Full-time classroom teachers in an accredited Duval County public or private school pursuing Florida Educator Certification or Endorsement, or Advanced Preparation for Teachers, preference given for those who have been a full-time classroom teacher for at least three years, but no more than ten years.
Kraft/Moore Family Fellowship	Special Education, Deaf Education or Exceptional Student Education Majors
Professional Development Schools Teacher Fellowship	Education Majors, preference given to teachers at Tiger Academy and KIPP
Silverfield College of Education and Human Services Endowed Fellowship	All Majors, preference to students who are working in their field of study or are active members of a community or SCOEHS student organization (e.g., Big Brothers and Sisters, Student Council for Exceptional Children, etc.)

Elizabeth & Irwin Zekaria Endowed Scholarship / Fellowship	All Majors, preference to Deaf Education
Ellis F. White Founding Faculty Endowed Scholarship / Fellowship	Education Major
Katherine M. Kasten Scholarship/Fellowship	Education Majors, preference to Doctor of Education majors in Educational Leadership and other doctoral programs, and Master of Education majors
Kristi Wilder "Are You My Friend?" Endowed Scholarship / Fellowship	Special Education Major
Marianne B. and Lehman W. Barnes Endowed Scholarship / Fellowship	Secondary Math/Science Education Majors
Robert & Peggy Ware Endowed Scholarship / Fellowship	All Majors, preference of one scholarship each year be given to a student majoring in Special Education
The St. Joe Company Endowed Scholarship / Fellowship	Education Major, preference to students wishing to teach in urban schools and/or specialize in ESOL teaching strategies
