Service and Leadership Theme Community

Are you passionate about making a difference and developing your leadership skills? Do like giving back and serving your community? Join the Service and Leadership Theme Community at 成人AV视频! This community is perfect for students who want to get involved in campus life through community service and leadership. You'll have the chance to work with campus and community organizations, learn about important issues, and apply what you learn through hands-on activities and service projects. This community will help you explore your values, goals, and leadership style, and grow into a responsible global citizen through deliberative dialogue and civic engagement activities. This community is a collaboration between Housing & Residence Life, the Taylor Leadership Institute, and the Office of Service-Learning and Civic Engagement. 

 

Eligibility & Course Requirements

  • Complete the Housing Contract & LLC and Interest Housing Application. 
  • Interest and passion for participating in service and leadership.
  • Live in the designated Service and Leadership Theme Community building and floor.
  • Support and attend community events and programs. 

 

What You Will Experience:

  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to tackle real-world issues and make a positive impact.
  • Reflective Practice: Participate in activities that help you understand and develop your personal leadership style.
  • Hands-On Activities: Get involved in service projects and see the difference you can make in the community.
  • Global Awareness: Learn about global issues and how you can contribute to positive change both locally and globally.
  • Leadership Development: Gain practical leadership skills and apply them in real-world settings.  

 

Objectives

  • Work with faculty, staff and community partners to explore and address issues of community need
  • Engage in reflective practice to explore and identify personal emerging leadership identity, philosophy and style
  • Participate in interactive hands-on activities and service projects, and demonstrate their community impact
  • Develop a greater understanding of the global interdependence of today’s world
  • Learn to recognize opportunities for positive change from a local and global perspective
