Our annual awards recognize the outstanding contributions of faculty and staff who go above and beyond in shaping the future of our healthcare students and college. Nominations for these prestigious awards are currently open and will close on Feb. 24, 2025.
Faculty Scholarship Award
Purpose
An award to recognize one (1) outstanding faculty member in the Brooks College of Health (BCH) who performs meritoriously in the area of scholarship. The award is in the amount of $1,000.00.
Eligibility
Open to any Instructor, Clinical or Tenure-line Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor who has two years of full-time employment at the University. The winner of the BCH Outstanding Scholarship Award shall only be eligible to win another BCH Outstanding Scholarship Award three years after receipt of the last award.
Nomination
Any person within the University community (students, alumni, faculty, staff, or administrators) may nominate a faculty member in the BCH. Nominations must be submitted using the by Feb. 24, 2025. The nomination must include a brief rationale for recommending the nominee for the award.
Nominee Materials
- Succinct list of scholarly accomplishments from the past two academic years (2022-2023, 2023-2024).
- A statement [maximum of one (1) page single-spaced] discussing most significant activities and accomplishments in scholarship and their impact.
Screening
The screening committee will consist of a panel appointed by the Dean’s office.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on evidence of:
- Quantity and quality of scholarship.
- Impact of scholarship.

Faculty Service Award
Purpose
An award to recognize one (1) outstanding faculty member in the Brooks College of Health (BCH) who performs meritoriously in service to the College, University, community, and/or profession. The award is in the amount of $1,000.00.
Eligibility
Open to any Instructor, Clinical or Tenure-line Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The winner of the BCH Outstanding Service Award shall only be eligible to win another BCH Outstanding Service Award three years after receipt of the last award.
Nomination
Any person within the University community (students, alumni, faculty, staff, or administrators) may nominate a faculty member in the BCH. Nominations must be submitted using the by Feb. 24, 2025. The nomination must include a brief rationale for recommending the nominee for the award.
Nominee Materials
Period of time to be used in the preparation of the materials: Entire career within the Brooks College of Health.
- List of all service activities with dates.
- A statement [maximum of one (1) page single-spaced] discussing the most significant service contributions to the College, University, community, and/or profession.
Screening
The screening committee will consist of a panel appointed by the Dean’s office.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on evidence of:
- Quantity and quality of Service
- Impact of Service activities on the College, University, community, and/or profession

Faculty Teaching Award
Purpose
An award to recognize one (1) outstanding faculty member in the Brooks College of Health (BCH) and to support excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching. The award is in the amount of $1,000.00.
Eligibility
Open to any Instructor, Clinical or Tenure-line Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Period of time used to determine eligibility is the last two (2) academic years (fall, spring, and summer semesters), which must include a minimum of six (6) courses (any combination of undergraduate and/or graduate) taught during this period. The winner of the BCH Outstanding Teaching Award shall only be eligible to win another BCH Outstanding Teaching Award three years after receipt of the last award.
Nomination
Any person within the University community (students, alumni, faculty, staff, or administrators) may nominate a faculty member in the BCH. Nominations must be submitted using the by Feb. 24, 2025. The nomination must include a brief rationale for recommending the nominee for the award.
Nominee Materials
Period of time to be used in the preparation of the materials: 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years.
The following questions must be answered in a one (1) page single-spaced document.
- What innovative teaching methods have you implemented in your courses during the two-year period?
- What impact does your teaching have on students?
- A list of courses (one (1) page) taught during the past two academic years to include course number, course name, number of credit hours, enrollments, and ISQ scores (provide scores for all 10 items).
Screening
The screening committee will consist of a panel appointed by the Dean’s office.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on evidence of:
- Teaching innovation(s)
- Excellent student evaluations/other accomplishments
- Influence on students

Staff Excellence Award
Purpose
An award to recognize one (1) A&P or USPS staff for notable contributions to the Brooks College of Health (BCH) that are significantly above and beyond the range of the job assignment and performance expectations. The award is in the amount of $1,000.00.
Eligibility
Open to any A&P or USPS staff member in BCH who has been employed for at least one year. The winner of the BCH Staff Excellence Award shall only be eligible to win another BCH Staff Excellence Award three years after receipt of the last award.
Nomination
Any person within the University community (students, alumni, faculty, staff, or administrators) may nominate a faculty member in the BCH. Nominations must be submitted using the by Feb. 24, 2025. The nomination must include a brief rationale for recommending the nominee for the award.
Nominee Materials
Period of time to be used in the preparation of the materials: Entire career at 成人AV视频 in the Brooks College of Health.

- A statement [maximum of one (1) page single-spaced] discussing notable contributions and work that has been completed that goes significantly above and beyond the range of the job assignment and performance expectations

- Overall contributions to BCH.
- Impact/significance of work above and beyond job assignment and performance expectations.
