2026 Bali Itinerary

Days 1–6: Ubud

Ubud, located in central Bali, is the island’s cultural heart. This vibrant village is home to a thriving arts scene, with numerous workshops and galleries showcasing traditional crafts. It also boasts stunning architecture, historical museums, charming cafés, and a deep spiritual heritage. The name “Ubud” comes from the Balinese word for medicine, making it a sought-after destination for those drawn to healing, meditation, yoga, and indigenous wisdom.

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome Dinner

Arriving in Denpasar in the afternoon, travel to Ubud and check into your hotel. After settling in, take some time to relax and refresh before heading to a delightful local restaurant, where you will enjoy a special welcome dinner and your first taste of Balinese cuisine.

Day 2: Introduction to Balinese Culture

The morning begins with an orientation on Balinese culture, providing practical travel tips and insights into the island’s philosophy. Following a group lunch, we will visit a village banjar, or community center, where you will participate in a hands-on cultural workshop. Under the guidance of traditional Balinese teachers, you will experience gamelan music, Legong dance, woodcarving, and offering-making, all essential aspects of Balinese life. In the evening, we will gather for a delicious meal at a local Indonesian restaurant.

Day 3: Nature, Spirituality & Royal Experience

Start the day with a guided herbal walk through lush jungle trails and terraced rice fields, where you will learn about Bali’s native plants and their uses in traditional medicine, cuisine, and body care. Later, we will visit a sacred holy spring temple, a revered site where the Balinese perform purification rituals.

After lunch overlooking the breathtaking panorama of Mount Batur and Lake Batur, you will prepare for an exclusive evening at Blahbatuh Palace. Dressed in traditional Balinese attire, you will enjoy a private tour of the palace, dine with members of the Blahbatuh Royal Family, and engage in fascinating discussions about Bali’s cultural evolution. The night will conclude with a mesmerizing Legong dance performance.

Day 4: Cooking, Healing & Mask Making

In the morning, you will take part in a cooking class, learning to prepare traditional Balinese and Indonesian dishes, which you will enjoy for lunch. The afternoon will be spent visiting a Balian, or traditional Balinese healer, to observe their practice and gain insight into their healing techniques, which include herbal medicine, massage, and energy work.

Later, we will visit the studio of I Wayan Muka, a third-generation mask maker from Mas village, where you will learn about the intricate art of mask-making and how each mask is uniquely crafted for Balinese theater. The evening will be yours to explore Ubud and enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Day 5: Rice Farming & Women’s Empowerment

The day begins with an immersive experience in Bali’s Subak irrigation system, a UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage practice. We will visit rice paddies to understand how Balinese farmers maintain their water-sharing system, participate in temple ceremonies, and follow the process of rice cultivation from planting to harvest. This experience will be led by Five Pillars, a social enterprise that focuses on sustainable tourism and community engagement.

In the afternoon, we will visit PKP Women’s Center, where you will hear about its mission to empower Balinese women. You will have the opportunity to join a yoga and meditation session, assist in the community garden, and interact with the women and children at the center. The evening will conclude with a community-prepared dinner, showcasing the culinary skills taught at the center.

Days 6–9: Pemuteran

Pemuteran, a tranquil fishing village on Bali’s northwest coast, is known for its commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism. Nestled between mountains and the sea, it boasts the largest area of shallow coral reefs in Bali, making it a prime destination for snorkeling and diving. The village is home to the world’s largest artificial reef project and has been internationally recognized for its community-led conservation efforts.

Day 6: Journey to Pemuteran & Sunset Cruise

Departing Ubud in the morning, we will travel toward Pemuteran, stopping along the way to visit Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, one of Bali’s most iconic sites. Situated on the serene waters of Lake Beratan, this floating temple is dedicated to the goddess of the lake and is surrounded by misty mountains.

After enjoying lunch in the cool, mountainous region of Bedugul, we will continue the journey, arriving in Pemuteran by late afternoon. After settling into your accommodations, we will head out to sea on traditional jukungs, or Balinese fishing boats, to witness a spectacular sunset over the ocean. The evening will be free for you to explore the village and enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Day 7: Coral Conservation & Turtle Hatchery

The day begins with a fascinating presentation on the Biorock Coral Restoration Project, a groundbreaking initiative that uses technology to accelerate coral reef growth. Following the presentation, we will have the chance to snorkel above the restoration site, witnessing firsthand the vibrant marine life and the progress of the reef regeneration efforts.

After lunch on your own, we will visit a local turtle hatchery, where conservationists work to protect and increase the population of sea turtles in Bali’s waters. In the evening, we will enjoy a special dinner at the home of a Balinese family, providing a deeper connection to the local way of life. The night will conclude with a visit to Melanting Temple, known as Bali’s temple for prosperity, where you will experience the temple’s serene and spiritual ambiance.

Day 8: Snorkeling at Menjangan Island

In the morning, we will set off on a boat trip to Menjangan Island, a remote and pristine island renowned for having one of the most biodiverse coral reef ecosystems in the world. The first snorkeling session will take place in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island, allowing you to observe vibrant coral gardens and an abundance of marine species.

After enjoying lunch on the island, we will head to another reef site for a second snorkeling experience, where you can explore different underwater landscapes. Returning to Pemuteran in the late afternoon, you will have free time to swim, relax, or indulge in a massage before spending the evening at your leisure.

Days 9–11: Sanur

Sanur, a charming seaside town in southeast Bali, offers a relaxed coastal atmosphere with a long stretch of calm beach, colorful jukung fishing boats, and a scenic paved walkway along the shoreline. Despite being closer to the urban centers of Bali, Sanur maintains a peaceful ambiance, making it an ideal place to unwind before departing the island. The town is home to excellent restaurants, live music venues, and boutique shops, perfect for picking up last-minute gifts or simply enjoying the laid-back surroundings.

Day 9: Travel to Sanur & Cultural Stop

Departing Pemuteran, we will travel toward Sanur, stopping along the way at Secret Garden Village, a unique complex designed to highlight the beauty of Indonesian-Balinese architectural heritage. The village features a beauty product workshop and a coffee processing center, offering insights into local craftsmanship and traditional production methods. After lunch along the route, we will arrive in Sanur, where you will check into a beachfront hotel. The rest of the evening will be yours to explore the town and enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Day 10: Leisure & Farewell Dinner

The final full day in Bali will be yours to enjoy at your own pace. You may choose to relax on the beach, explore Sanur’s local markets and shops, or partake in optional water activities such as paddleboarding or kite surfing. After a leisurely afternoon, we will gather for a final sunset dinner on the beach, celebrating the experiences and friendships formed during the journey. The evening will be open for you to continue exploring Sanur or simply unwind and reflect on your time in Bali.

Day 11: Departure

On the last day, you will have time to prepare for your journey home, exchange contact information with new friends, and reflect on the unforgettable memories you have created. After checking out of the hotel, we will transfer you to the airport, bringing your Balinese adventure to a close.
