成人AV视频 hosts national logistics and supply chain competition
The Coggin College of Business at the 成人AV视频 hosted the 15th annual Logistics & Supply Chain Management Case Competition with sponsorship by the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA).
Eight IANA-affiliated universities from across the country sent three of their best students and one faculty member to compete in the event to examine a case situation about a company or market, discover and diagnose hypothetical problems and create a presentation on how they would fix them.
The 成人AV视频 team consisted of students Jonathan Stephen, Shavelli Rodriguez and Richard Schultz, with Dr. Terry Allen as their faculty advisor.
The day after teams arrived in Jacksonville, they were provided with a tour of Crowley Shipyard and then presented with a case to solve on the spot. After five hours of reading, analyzing and creating a presentation on how they would solve the situation, the students were given 10 minutes to present to Jacksonville industry executives from Morgan Stanley, Shoreside Logistics, DCLI, and Corporate Traffic Logistics.
While the judges deliberated on the winning teams, Joseph Hinrichs, CEO of CSX, joined Dr. Herbert Kotzab, 成人AV视频 Crowley Center of Transportation and Logistics director, in a fireside chat to discuss leadership and the future of transportation.
The top teams awarded in the competition were California State Maritime in first place, University of North Texas in second and Georgia Southern University in third.
