What Can You Do With A Major In Nutrition And Dietetics?
Nutrition and Dietetics is the science or art of applying the principles of food and nutrition to health. Nutrition majors will help people make smart food choices to keep them healthy, advise doctors and nurses regarding nutrition, teach people about the importance of good nutritional programs for large groups of people, manage food services businesses, and supervise people who prepare and serve food. Students who complete the degree track in nutrition and obtain the Registered Dietitian credential are qualified to work in a variety of settings including community health, business and educational organizations such as public health departments, nursing homes/retirement residences, home health agencies, alcohol/drug programs, wellness/fitness centers, schools, hospitals, mental health facilities, and private practice.
